Thrive Coordination Services was established in January 2021
by Liz Ayers.
Liz was an NDIS Planner based in Esperance from September 2018 - December 2020, after being a Local Area Coordinator with the WA Disability Services Commission (DSC) in Esperance from 2015 - 2018.
Liz believes passionately in the NDIS vision of "optimising social and economic independence and full participation for people with disability."
Many people Liz talked to during NDIS planning :
- were confused about how the NDIS systems works
- were confused about the language the NDIS uses
- found understanding what can be achieved with their NDIS plan
- found using the 1800 800 110 number frustrating
- found it all too hard and didn't use their funding.
This was why Liz set up Thrive Coordination Services: to make sure people with NDIS plans in our community, can get the support they need to live the life they want to.
Liz has been married to Trevor since
and together with their two
sons, moved to Esperance
at the beginning of 2012.
Both Liz and Trevor are strongly involved &
committed to the Esperance community,
particularly in different sporting groups.
Liz is the community representative on the Esperance Education Support Centre School Council (2016 - current).
Liz was elected Chair in 2018 and continues to hold this position.
